Labor

$25.00 per hour

I'm the cheapest guy in the area, possibly in Colorado.

For most work, I charge a service call, and labor. The labor charge is $25.00 per hour.

Keys for cars

Regarding keys for cars: I can do transponder type keys for most cars, but my programming equipment is slightly older. Still, I charge about half of what other locksmiths do, and sometimes as much as one-fifth the price of the "internet predators".

I recommend "calling around"- you'll see what I mean.. Then call me last, it's the best way I know of.

I work alone, and when you call me, I am the guy that answers the phone and shows up. Notice that there is a picture of me, instead of some logo, clip-art, shiny keys and locks, or some "male model" on the page.

I have been a Locksmith here in Idaho Springs for 35 years. I have been installing security systems for 20 years (yes, right here in Clear Creek and Gilpin County).

Have a look at the "terms" page for a list of prices. If you need an absolute bottom-line price, I can do it, but sometimes need to have a look at the job first. If I have to take a look at the job, I don't charge. There has to be a little trust.

I will be posting videos on YouTube regarding how this industry has evolved, pointing out some root problems and showing how to find an honest business. The entire industry is in complete shambles, and honest businesses are outnumbered 100 to 1 on the internet.
